I am not an expert neither with interfaces nor with ubuntu, but I am quite puzzled why it worked so flawlessly in the beginning and now seems to be completely dead apart from these two incidences.ĭoes anyone here have a helpful advice for me? Ubuntu Studio is basically vanilla, did not alter anything.I wanted to install R with Rstudio to start learning, but I found many problems in the way, I'll explain as much as i can below. I tried every USB port, does not help while other devices (mouse, keyboard) work just fine.Īnd then SOMETIMES it magically get's recognized after plugging it in, this happened to me two times so far and I can't find a pattern regarding what was different these two times. Usb 3-4: can't read configurations, error -22 Usb 3-4: invalid descriptor for config index 0: type = 0x2, length = 2 Usb 7-4: can't read configurations, error -22 Usb 7-4: invalid descriptor for config index 0: type = 0x2, length = 2 Usb usb3-port4: unable to enumerate USB device When booting with the UMC1820 plugged in, I get the repeated error messages But now suddenly it is not showing up anymore, neither in the audio setting, nor in Ardour, nor in the console with lsusb. In ardour I had access to all 18 channels and also got sound over the UMC1820 outputs. When first installing everything, the UMC1820 showed up instantly, it was basically plug&play. Atm, I try to set up my little recording studio with Ubuntu Studio and bought the UMC1820.
